Heparin on Resin (HOR)
First intermediate obtained from porcine mucosa, for crude heparin producers.
Supply and production technology across the whole heparin chain, from the first intermediate to the injectable API, under the technical supervision of experts with more than 40 years in the field.
We know every stage of the process and the critical quality points of each one. That knowledge underpins how we select sources and advise producers.
Heparin is found in the intestinal mucosa. The quality of collection determines the whole downstream process.
Through a physico-chemical process, heparin binds to a cationic resin. This is the first intermediate in the chain.
Further physico-chemical steps separate and concentrate the heparin, yielding crude heparin.
Final processing produces pharmaceutical-grade unfractionated heparin, which is also the basis for low molecular weight heparins (LMWH).
For each product we offer supply and, when the project requires it, production technology.
First intermediate obtained from porcine mucosa, for crude heparin producers.
Raw material for manufacturing injectable heparin and low molecular weight heparins.
Heparin sodium of porcine and bovine origin (HALAL certified), and heparin calcium.
Enoxaparin sodium for the manufacture of finished dosage forms.
Chondroitin sulfate of bovine and porcine origin, and heparinoids.
For applications that require this specific salt, such as diagnostic use.
Review of the process and analytical procedures to meet the specifications required by API manufacturers.
Support to move into producing Heparin on Resin or crude heparin and add value to the raw material.
Process improvement, analytical procedures, plant design and technology transfer.
